WHO WE ARE
200 Years of Maritime Tradition, Continuously Pursuing Greater Heights
Mystic Shipyard first opened its doors in 1843, and was focused on building Schooners and Ironclad ships. The largest sailing ship ever constructed in Mystic, the 249 ft. Jennie R. DuBois, was constructed right here at Mystic Shipyard. In the early 1940’s, the Shipyard built “sea sleds”, catamaran power boats for racing and recreation. Later, the Shipyard took on its current form and became a recreational marina.
